The Wisdom
 

There are many different ways we all go about finding out about recovery, and unfortunately for most of us before any of us get here they've usually been quite painful, and it seemed like at times that this was the only way we could learn things, like we're all some kind of gluten for punishment, but this can all stop now that we're in recovery. Outside of recovery the price we've paid for any kind of wisdom for all of us was way too steep, but here in recovery it's given away freely if we can only accept that it is, without any strings attached, or a high price to pay for it later. It's just freely given and passed along to the next person who to use it like it was passed along to them to use so that all of us can have it. That's what we all do here in recovery: we offer and give away wisdom so that others may benefit from it without having to go through the pain of getting it. All of us can either choose to accept this wisdom or be willing to pay the high price for it ourselves. A great day came for all of us when we all realized we no longer had to pay the high price ourselves in order for wisdom to have a value to us, and mean something for all of us.
