Default Knowing What We Can Do

Knowing that we have a problem doesn't make anything better for any of us, now that we know. The only thing that does after we know is taking action against having it, and it's only by doing that that any of us will ever have anything better. And the only thing that's going to make it possible for all of us to take action is our own willingness to do so. It is by us becoming willing to do something about having this problem that we will ever have anything better, and no one can do that for us, that's something we're supposed to be willing to do for ourselves. This is where recovery can help us because even though we don't think very highly of ourselves at the time we begin our recovery everyone here in recovery can assure us that it will be worth it to us, to take action against having this problem, and recovery can show us precisely what actions to take that work. Knowing that we have this problem isn't as good as knowing what we can do about having it, and once we have taken the action we need to take, everything will become better for us.
