Default Clothe Yourselves

CLOTHE YOURSELVES

We all have the ability to clothe ourselves. We choose what we wear every day. Our choices may be limited in the actual clothes we wear; however our choices are many with regard to how we clothe ourselves within. A gentle and quiet spirit is precious to God. When we choose to have that beauty, that gentleness that only comes from God on the inside, it won’t matter what we wear on the outside.

1 Peter 3:4 “You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we thank You for your word. We thank You for Your instruction. We thank You for Your power and Your gentleness. Help us today, Lord, to have the gentle and quiet spirit that You have called us to have. We know we can do great things when we allow You to work through us. Work through us today, Lord, to be kind, to be gentle and to humble ourselves before You in all we do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we choose to clothe ourselves in gentleness, God will help others see His strength in us.

A strong heart comes from a gentle mind.

When we choose to clothe ourselves in gentleness, God will use us to help others.

We can get so much more done and encourage others to do more when we clothe ourselves in gentleness.

God chose us to be holy and wants us to be clothed in gentleness.

Colossians 3:12 “Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” (NLT)

Focus today: Choose to clothe yourself in gentleness remembering God chose you to be holy.
