Default Heart for the Lord Day 2

Heart for the Lord Day 2 by SGLY Ministry

BROKEN HEART
“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart” Psalm 34:18 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
Our Prayer of the Heart for the Lord today is for a Broken Heart.
Why would we pray for a broken heart? Who wants broken?
Our concept of a broken heart is not something we would desire, and why would the Lord be near to a broken heart?
Well, in this case, the Lord is saying He wants you to have a heart that is crushed with sorrow for your sins; a heart that is humble and thoroughly penitent.
This is the heart that comes close to Him, and seeks His healing touch.
It is this kind of broken heart that can be mended and made whole again because it is seeking the Lord’s will and not it’s own will.
Jesus said He came to heal the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18)

Prayer of the Heart to the Lord:
Dear Lord, today I ask that You create in me a Broken Heart (one that is crushed with sorrow for sin, humble and thoroughly penitent.) for then You will be near to me and I can give my Broken Heart to You and receive true healing and wholeness as You give me a new heart and put a new spirit within me. Thank You Jesus for coming to heal the Broken Hearted.
