Default Not having a clue

Learning how to live life on life's terms is not easy. For most of us we don't even have a clue on how that's done. I thought my drinking and drugging was the problem, only to learn that they are symptoms of the real problem my inability to live life on life's terms. I didn't know how to do that. I'd never been taught how. Seems clear to me now, it wasn't when I started recovery. I could see through all my pride and ego that I didn't know how to live life on life's terms. Through Recovery, gently, slowly. I learned how to do this. One day at time, living life using the principles of the 12 steps we learn how to live life on life's terms.
