Default Being Dependent

No victims here in recovery, we all come in as the result of what was going on in our life and we all are willing participants to that even though most of us had no idea of what we were doing. One thing we should have all learned by now is that we are all designed to be dependent, and that most of the troubles we are having in our life are the result of us trying to prove otherwise. Recovery is where we learn none of us can stand alone and be successful, that we all need each other in order to do that. Recovery also teaches us how important it is for us to have a healthy dependence upon something other than ourselves, that we believe cares for us. When we do this we become happy because we are now naturally fulfilling what is meant for us to do, by whoever or whatever made us and meant for us to be like that. Then we will know peace like we have never known before, and that's a promise.
