Q is for Quiet. Quiet your mind. I find if I don't quiet my mind, my internal chatter deafens me and I have problems with hearing what my God has to say, let alone hear His call.

I was told to put real or imaginary bag by my bed, acknowledge each thought and put it in the bag. Recognize it as a thought and remember that you don't always have to act on it.

When you have all your thoughts in the bag, tie it up and remember, in the morning, you have an option, you can leave the bag and let it all go, or pick it up, open it, and take out all those thoughts to clutter your mind in today.

In the quiet and the stillness, say the Serenity Prayer.

Q is for Quit. We just quit using, just for today. We don't look at the whole picture, it is too overwhelming. We quit to best of our ability one day at time. It was important for me to have a strong network of fellow members and a home group. It was important to have a sponsor, and quit trying to do and figure out things by myself. My best thinking got me to where I was and am in today, so why not quit the blame game, and travel this inward journey to find out who you really are.

Q is for Quick. Be quick to let go and let God. Saves a lot of aggravation and quickly calms the spirit. I can't, but my God can.

Build a loving relationship with the God of your understanding, that shouldn't be something quick, but something that builds over time. Trust the process, the program is not a quick fix.

It says we are to become as little children, learning to walk again and learning to trust and walk in faith.

Q is for Quake. Does your life need a little shaking up. Have you become complacent. Have you been quaking in your shoes. Faith replaces fear. Shake things up by having a little talk with your God and He will make things right.

Q is for Quest. May I suggest a Spiritual Question. What does God mean to you? Does God do all the work and you do nothing? What is your part? We are spiritual being learning to walk an earthly walk, one day at a time.

Q is for Quench. Quench your thirst. Drink from the Eternal Spring that flows from the Words of God and all things Divinely Inspired by Him. Don't judge, lest you be judge. Like the man in the boat who prayed and asked for help. God sent another boat, a yacht, a helicopter, and a submarine, and as he slipped into the briny deep, he questioned God and asked God why He had forsaken him. God said, I sent you a boat, a yacht, a helicopter, and a submarine, what more did you want? Quit second guessing God. Quit playing God with your life and that of others.
