Standing Firm - Prayer Day Fifteen

With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people. Ephesians 6:18 Amplified Bible.

After we put on the whole Armor of God we need to be in prayer at all times and also be alert. We need to be Battle Ready just as a soldier is. We need to be in constant communication with God throughout all our waking hours no matter where we are or what we are doing. We need to be alert physically and spiritually, for the enemy could attack at any time. We need to not just pray for ourselves but also for all our brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You that in Christ I now have a personal relationship with You so that I am able to speak with You at all times, either in my language or in the Spirit’s language. I need to remember this as I go through my day, that even though I am fully dressed in Your Armor I still need to be in constant communication with You and to walk in the Spirit. Thank You God for providing me with all I need to stand firm in faith daily. Remind me to keep an attitude of prayer, petition, and perseverance for myself and all the saints, so I do my part in staying Battle Ready at all times.

Today: Pray at all times in the Holy Spirit. Pray for all the saints to stand firm in the battle against the enemy. Stay alert. Always be watchful and vigilant. You can’t get comfortable for you are always on duty in this Christian life and the enemy is always looking for a way to attack.
