Today’s Scripture: II Thessalonians 1:12 (NLT): Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Today’s Thought: As we live our lives in an upright manner our lives should point to one person, Jesus. Do you live your life in a way that everyone knows you are a Christian? If not, start today!

Today’s Prayer: Lord, help me to live my life in a way that everything I do points to You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

*****

Psalm 5:12, NIV "Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield."

*****

Mark 2:7-12 “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

*****

Today’s Scripture: II Thessalonians 2:2 (NLT): Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us.

Today’s Thought: Do not believe everything you hear or read especially on the internet. Take everything back to the Bible. If you cannot find it in the Bible most likely it’s not true. We need to be students of the Word so we do not fall and believe false teaching.

Today’s Prayer: Lord, help me not to believe everything I hear even though it might sound really good. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

*****

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. —1 Peter 2:9

*****

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

*****

Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."

*****

Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. 1 Chronicles 16:11

*****

This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 1 John 4:13

*****

Titus 3:4-7 - 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

Today’s Scripture: II Thessalonians 2:9-10 (NLT): This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.

Today’s Thought: Satan will use everything in his power to make us fall. This is where we need to know the Word inside and out. We must fight our adversary, the devil, with the Word of God. The truth will always set you free.

Today’s Prayer: Lord, help me to fight the devil by quoting scripture. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Romans 12:15-16 — Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

There's something deep within us that loves to be first, to win, to be "in." We elbow up through degrees, titles, possessions, rights privileges, connections, seniority and the like. But once we reach our goals, then what? God doesn't separate us from those who are lower on the career ladder than we are. He tells us to pull them up with us. "Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God" (Leviticus 19:34). In a few words, God both levels and lifts us: "You were an alien, too" and "I am your Lord God." Do you know someone who needs a lift today?

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. — Matthew 5:7

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
