Default Renew Our Minds

RENEW OUR MINDS

We all sin. We all do something we regret the next day. We may sin because we want temporary pleasure. We may sin because we are selfish. We may sin because we feel it’s the only way out of a situation. Whatever the reason we sin, there is hope. We can turn from our ways and live for God. We can decide to stop copying the behavior of the world and be transformed to the person God intended us to be. When we quiet ourselves before God and repent, He will renew our minds.

Romans 12:2 “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we are human. We mess up every day. We come to You to do repent for our wrongdoing. We come to ask for forgiveness and mercy. We come to You for guidance and direction. You are our only Hope. Teach us through Your word and our quiet time with You how to resist temptation and live as You desire us to live. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we go before God in the stillness of the day, He will forgive our sins and renew our minds.

When we sin, we can choose to continue in our sin or we can choose to go to God for help.

God wants us to live a gentle and humble life and spend quiet time with Him.

When we ask God to renew our minds, we are asking Him to help us do what is good and pleasing and perfect.

There is something beautiful about having a gentle and quiet spirit and living for God.

1 Peter 3:4 “You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” (NLT)

Focus: We should resist temptation and allow God to renew our minds so we have a quiet and gentle spirit.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
