Default What Do I Do Now?

"What Do I Do Now?"

“... a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.” — Isaiah 53:3 NIV

Has your life been turned upside down? Have you lost someone you love through death or divorce? Do you feel alone and helpless, asking "What do I do now?" Our Savior knows all about sorrow and suffering. He was ridiculed, beaten, forced to wear a thorny crown and nailed to a cross. He knew the sorrow of seeing his dear friend Lazarus die, yet he was able to raise him from the dead. He had compassion on the crowds "because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36). He understands any pain we may suffer and he is always with us. (Matthew 28:20). Even if you don't feel his presence, believe he is there with you because the fact is, he promised he would be.

The wonderful thing is that even though you may not know what you are going to do next, God knows. He can see far down the road of life and if you are willing to surrender to his guidance, he will take care of you. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6). God is love! If you feel guilty for something you've done, he'll forgive you. (Mark 11:25). If you have strayed from his side, he'll welcome you back with open arms, as did the father of the Prodigal Son. (Luke 15:20).
What do you do now? It is up to you. Jesus says, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20).

Precious Lord, comfort those who are in pain today. Guide them step-by-step on the path that is best for them. Amen.

I was told, if you are in doubt, you are not trusting God. Turn things over to Him.

I was told to go to the Steps, when you get to Twelve, start again at Step One.

Steps Ten, Eleven and Twelve are maintenance Steps. I call Steps 1, 2, & 3, the Waltz, I can`t, God can, just for today, I choose to let Him. That way, I invite Him into my day each morning.
