From our earliest memories most of us sensed somehow were different from the world we saw and knew. There was a feeling of not being a part of, we just didn't know why. What we know now is that is addiction and it was already running the show and in control. Thus we begin our life long battle with it, bravely, on our own, not knowing what's going on, we tried to battle this very powerful illness that was in control of our thoughts, feelings. Needless to say I can see how I was in a losing battle now. While it seems so unfair addiction starts and goes undetected when were so young it turns out to be one of it weakness. This is because of not knowing, is how it gets power over us. Had we been told we have addiction, and learned how to live in way to protect ourselves from it, we would have never fell prey to it. The solution to addiction is quite simple, it's just overly complicated to get to it. It doesn't have to be like that. For those that don't have addiction none of this is makes any sense to them. Those that have addiction can benefit greatly from knowing that we have it. We can then start a recovery plan so we can take care of having it. It's that simple, but even today it still goes undetected and untreated causing untold and unnecessary pain and destruction for us all.
