Default Everything We Look At

Our thoughts tend to drive us a little crazy at times in the beginning of recovery and can still do the same thing well into it. We learn in recovery that what we let into our minds has a lot to do with how we think. We have to be careful to protect ourselves and our minds from negativity. This combined with the normal fears we all have account for most of the disturbing thoughts all of us have. What we choose to look at has a lot to do with the way we'll think and even more amazing is that we can choose to see the positive or the negative in anything we look at. The choice is ours, and we always do get what we choose. It becomes a whole lot easier for us to have thoughts that aren't as disturbing when we realize we have a responsibility to ourselves to choose to not look at the things that will harm us, and when we can't avoid doing that, trying to see the positive in everything we look at.
