Many of us will have a void in our life right after getting into recovery. This is because of being so busy for so long fighting our problem on our own that we have become preoccupied with doing this. Taking it easy and letting go, trusting that something else can and will help us with this, and then learning how to relax, none of these things come very easy for any of us who have been putting up the good fight against this problem. What helps us is to realize the fighting is over now that we're in recovery, and the battle of fighting this problem on our own was lost. It's a "we program" and we do this together, that's how this works, that's what makes it work. Going it alone has never worked, and never will. We trust that we'll be better off by doing this together than trying to go it alone, then we learn how to take it easy to relax, as we work the program. Then we'll be on our way to getting better and our life will then be filled with more things then we could have ever imagined possible for ourselves.
