Default A Healthy Mind

Scripture

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. - Romans 12:2 (AMP)

A Healthy Mind by Joyce Meyer

Over the years, the Lord has shown me so much about the power of our thoughts. In fact, the two major lessons He has taught me are that our thoughts affect every single area of our lives and we have a choice—we can choose our thoughts!

What you think about has everything to do with the quality of your life. But it’s not just good enough to stop thinking about the wrong things—we also need to replace them with good, healthy, positive thoughts from God’s Word.

Spend time each day reading and meditating on God’s Word. Pray and ask God to help you understand how to apply the wisdom you discover to your everyday life. As you do your part to choose your thoughts, God will do His. And you’ll love the transformation that comes with having a healthy mind...the mind of Christ!

You Can Win the Battle in Your Mind

“ We need to do our own thinking and deliberately choose to think on things that line up with God’s Word! ”
—Joyce

Study Suggestion

Read Philippians 4:8. It tells us we should “think on these things.” Make a conscious effort to fill your mind with good, pure, wholesome, and lovely thoughts.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
