It's hard for all of us to see what we have in common with everyone else who is in recovery when we get here and are new, but in time we'll all see this. The differences that we all have as people are not what hold us together in recovery, it's the struggle that each of us have had that does that, it's what all of us have in common. Recovery works to help all of us with what we've all have had to go through to get to recovery, and some of us will still struggle even after we're in recovery and it's okay that we do. Since we all come from different backgrounds we've all been affected differently and because we have that doesn't make us any better or worse off then each other. What all of us also have in common is that regardless of how much any of us have or haven't struggled, none of us are ever cured even though some of us would like to think that we are. What usually happens to all of us who think this is we find out that we're not.
