Default Topic of the week, words that begin with the letter "U"

U is for Understanding. I though I understood who God was. I didn't think He understood and cared for me. I had so many old tapes running, and found out that God was an old tape too. I went on a spiritual quest, and found that my God is as He reveals Himself to me in today. I may not always understand His direction and will, but I know He has my Higher Goodness in mind and I pray for the Inner Knowing that I need each day. I had to make my God personal and build a relationship with Him.

U is for Unity. Together we stand, we can do what I can't do alone. When we come to share, one alcoholic/addict with another, we learn to identify, not compare. We are united with one goal, to stay clean and sober in today.

We share the good and not so good, and know we are not alone.

U is for the slogan "Utilize not Criticize." Instead of pointing a finger at something you don't agree with, look at how it can be applied to your life or changed to a way, that it is compatible with your program.

We used people, places, and things in active addiction. Let us turn it around and look at things as to how they can help us live a clean and sober life in today.

U is for Use. Use the tools of the program. Use the literature to give you guidance each day. Use the Good Orderly Direction that is available to you each day, when you surrender your day to your Higher Power. You are empowered to do what you need to do each day to stay clean and sober from all addictions.

U is for Use the "God Box"

Write down your worries and problems. Put them in the God box. Once you've done so, you can no longer think about them for that day. Use God's answers: yes, no, or wait, I have something better in store for you. Don't forget to say thanks.
