Default Too Many Things

TOO MANY THINGS

This time of year, our focus isn't always where it should be. We get distracted about what we have to do. We get distracted about where we have to go. We get distracted by the way people act around us. Too many things keep us from getting distracted from God's word and doing His will. We need to remember not to make things too complicated this time of year with gifts, food and parties. We need to remember to keep God first and spend time with Him daily so we aren't losing focus due to too many things going on in our lives.

SCRIPTURE:
2 Timothy 2:15 "Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth." (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down all you have to do today.
2. List the things that are heavy on your minds.
3. Ask God to help you with your plans.
4. Remember to put Him first and not be tempted to do too many things.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, help us not get distracted because we are doing too many things. We know this time of year is busy and we get taken in by the hustle and bustle and we forget to give You the glory You deserve. Help us remember to stay focused on You and spend time with You as You call us to do. We need to put You first in this season and every season so we aren't trying to do too many things that are not in line with Your will. In Jesus' name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
We should always keep our focus on God so we are aware of our actions.

We are to work hard on doing God's will and not get off track due to the things of the world.

Our focus should be on God and what we can do to serve Him and share His word with others.

When we get too much activity in our lives, God can easily get pushed out of our lives.

FOCUS:
Ecclesiastes 5:3 "Too much activity gives you restless dreams; too many words make you a fool." (NLT)

Remember to keep activities focused on living for God and giving Him the glory.
