Default When We Start

One of the biggest things we were asked to do when we first started our recovery is to have a leap of faith. Since none of us show up to recovery on a winning streak it seems more is being asked of us then is possible. But it turns out it is only then, are we ever close enough to being able to do this, to take the big jump and to have a faith in something other than ourselves even though everything inside us tells us not to do this. It is what all of us in recovery have had to do and anyone who is willing to open their mind can also do. What can help us to do this is to know that the good lord has not brought us this far to dump us on our ass. It is only by having faith in something other than ourselves, and by believing that whatever that is, is going to help us, is when we start to recover.
