It Takes What It Takes

For all that we've all had to go through and everything that it took for us to be in recovery most of us have no idea about how exciting it's going to be for us now that we're here in recovery. All of us had stopped growing before we got to recovery because we were all too busy with just trying to keep our heads above water with our problem. After we get here and start doing what we need to do in order for us to be in recovery is when we're going to find out just how exciting it can be for us now to be in recovery. This starts with the simple idea that we found in recovery that we can choose whatever we want to be a higher power and name it whatever we're comfortable with calling it. The freedom that comes from us being able to do this is exciting in ways in which we aren't really even sure of, but it was after we do this that we started to sense there might be some kind of hope for us, that we might be able to start to grow again, like we all had given up on. That exciting part of living life that we were all watching that was all around us, that none of us knew why we weren't part of it now becomes part of us again. Because we're in recovery now and are growing again we can't help but to know just how exciting it's going to be for us to be part of that once again.
