Love prayers for the heart, said in the moment, not something read in a formal way. To me they lose meaning, especially when said in rote. Like the Serenity Prayer, for me it is one of the most awesome and meaningful. Yet it can be said fast and without thought, and it take away the power of the prayer.
Words don't have to be formal, they don't have to be fancy, a simple "Help!" I can't do this, I need your help will do." We can ask for clarity, strength, courage, direction, forgiveness, and many more things. I just try to ask for what I need in the moment in today. He knows better what I need than I do myself.
