Default What To Train

WHAT TO TRAIN

There has probably been a time or two when we weren’t sure what to say. We may have had an opportune time to speak out but we weren’t prepared to say what needed to be said or we were afraid to say anything at all. That is why we need to not only know God’s word but be confident enough to speak out to others. When we know His word and trust in Him, He will tell us exactly what to say and when to say it. We should pray and prepare ourselves to be ready to speak out to help others and train them in God’s word in any situation.

SCRIPTURE:
2 Peter 1:19 “Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List some verses that give you confidence.
2. Write down what you can say to others to help them.
3. Pray about having the right words to say at the right time.
4. Stay in God’s word and learn from Him what He wants you to say.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we want to know what to say and do in any situation. We know we can only say and do the right things when our focus is on You. Show us from Your word how to train ourselves to be ready to proclaim Your message when You put us in a situation where we need to speak out. Give us confidence and courage, we pray. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
If we want to know the right words to say in any situation, we need to read God’s word.

God’s word can help us and prepare us to share the right things with those in need at the right time.

We have all we need in God’s word to give us courage and confidence to speak out for Him.

We should pray and prepare ourselves to be ready to speak out to help others and train them in God’s word in any situation.

God’s word gives us wisdom that we can share with others when they are in need.

FOCUS: 2 Timothy 3:15 “You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.” (NLT)

If we aren’t sure what to say to others, God’s word works in any situation.
