Default Treasuring Time

TREASURING TIME

There are times when we are way too busy. We have so much going on that when we finally stop, we are exhausted. It doesn’t matter what time of year it is. In the winter, spring, summer or fall, we need to take time for God. We can’t continue to use our time for only the things of the world. We need God. We need to put Him first in our lives. First in our mornings, first in our week and first in all we do. When we put Him first in our weeks, He will help us be less busy and more focused on what’s important to Him.

Isaiah 58:13-14a “Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day,
but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the Lord will be your delight.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to remember to do only Your will today and every day. We know we are to honor You with our time. We know we need to be sure to spend time with You daily and build a relationship with You. We know we are to keep the Sabbath day holy as You have called us to do. Take our time, Lord, and show us how to best use it so we are honoring You, serving others and sharing Your word with them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We should treasure our time alone with God and be sure we have that alone time with Him every day.

Getting too busy with the things of the world only leads to exhaustion and emptiness.

Treasuring the things of the world leaves no time for treasuring the things of God.

We can stop seeking that one certain purpose in our lives when we turn our time over to God because He will reveal it to us.

It can be exhausting trying to get things done all the time. That is why God tells us to be still and spend time with Him.

Psalm 46:10 ““Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” (NLT)

Focus: Don’t let another day go by without spending time with God. He wants to hear from you.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
