The Trade-Off
All of us have given up so much, more than any of us know that we have, and being honest with ourselves is probably the biggest thing that all of us have lost by the time any of us get to recovery. It seems impossible for all of us to do something so simple that everyone else does with such ease, but we can't do it because all of us have given this away for one reason or another. It doesn't really matter what that reason may be, and it's different for all of us. What matters the most for all of us and is way more important to us is all the damage that this is causing all of us by us doing this, to ourselves, and the damage to anyone else who happens to be around us. All of us have no idea of what it is we're doing, or why it is we're even doing it, that keeps hurting all of us, and everyone else. This becomes more painful than any of us can stand. It's beyond belief what all of us have put ourselves through, and something will need to be done if we all want to get our integrity back. And the first thing is for all of us to know we didn't have to give it away to begin with and none of us should have. If we're willing to stop making a mess out of our life by living it the way we've all been living it then all of us will be ready for something that's far better than any of us could ever imagine for ourselves. The trade-off in all of this isn't even fair because of what we'll all find by living our life the way that's laid out in recovery that allows for all of us to be able to be honest with ourselves once again. This is so good that none of us will be able to stand just how good this can be for all of us and everyone else too.
