Step One is a step I have to do every day. I can't forget that I am an alcoholic. My disease is in remission, and it never goes away; always looking for an opportunity to slip back into my life. My recovery is based on the fact that I not forget that and I need to continue building a strong spiritual defense against it.
My life is unmanageable when managed by me. We tend to remember the first half of Step One and forget that there is a second part. ![]()
