Trust the Process

How many times I told myself, well I won't do what my father did. I won't act out like my mother did. I don't want to drink and behave like my husband did!

Well this weekend, I saw my son acting like his mother did, how his stepfather did, his step-father did, and acting out like his father did.

This is indeed a family disease and it affects everyone, sometimes in ways we never thought about.

Pain is pain, no matter what the source and how it was inflicted. Real or imagined events all lead to trauma and need to be healed.

For every finger I point at some one or thing, I have three coming back at me.

I had to learn to identify, not compare.
