Default Staying Calm Promotes Good Health

A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones. — Proverbs 14:30 (AMPC)

Staying Calm Promotes Good Health by Joyce Meyer

Staying healthy and feeling well physically should be a goal that we not only desire but work toward each day of our lives—because feeling good helps us in many ways, including how we handle stress. We only have one life to live and living it with energy and strength is very important.

We put tremendous stress on ourselves by allowing negative emotions to drain us of needed energy. I encourage you today to set your mind to stay calm and think about things that add energy rather than diminishing it. If you have anything against anyone, forgive that person and let the offense go. When we forgive, it’s like letting someone out of prison, and we quickly find that we are the ones who have been set free.

Don’t worry about tomorrow, but instead enjoy today. When tomorrow dawns, you will find the grace to deal with anything that comes with it.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for reminding me how important it is to stay calm. I put my trust in You, and I ask that You help me not to be upset about anything. I ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
