Discerning Satan
Discerning Satan
Ephesians 6:11 Pastor Carl H Stevens "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12, NIV). Believers would be surprised at the spiritual activity that goes on behind the daily battles that they encounter. Many Christians are not even sensitive to the fact that there are two kingdoms functioning behind everything that occurs. There is a kingdom of light and one of darkness (2). Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (3) to prevent God's people from detecting his trickery. He loves it when believers make statements that blame flesh and blood for things that he has caused. Satan is the accuser of the brethren (4) and the father of all lies (5). He is a thief and a robber (6). He knows he has but a short time (7). This is why he definitely does not want God's people to discern his tactics. The apostle Paul teaches us how to discern the two kingdoms. "Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). Do not begin your day with an attitude of passivity. Begin it with prayer and the Word of God, for by doing so you will be able to "gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you" (I Peter 1:13). Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11
