The Reason
We all cross paths with recovery for one reason or another. We all then decide what we can get from recovery that also varies. Few of us ever thought of recovery as a way of finding and developing a relationship with a higher power. Why we're here and what we think we'll get from recovery isn't really that important as long as we are working the steps. It will all unfold for us the reason for recovery being part of our lives now. After we've been doing this for a while we'll become comfortable and grateful for our recovery and that we now have that relationship with a god of our own understanding, one that works for us. This doesn't happen overnight, it's a process that takes some time, but it's well worth it no matter what the reasons were that we were doing it for.
