TAKE REFUGE IN GOD

Without quiet time alone with God, we can just about guarantee a day full of negative emotions and aggravating issues. When we forget about God or don't have time for Him, we are deciding to do things our way instead of His way. Our quiet time with God helps us focus on Him, allows the Holy Spirit to move in us and gets our day going in His direction and not ours.

Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for protecting us. We put our trust in You today to help us through each day. We want to obey You and spend quiet time alone with You each day so You can help us through the day. Help us to remember to stop trying to plan our days without You. Help us to listen to You and not just talk. Help us and allow Your Holy Spirit to guide us in our quiet time and all through the day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

A day without God is a day without meaning.

God knows why He created us and when we don't take time to be still and refocus on Him, we are living meaningless days.

Going through our days without spending some quiet time with God is like driving without a seat belt.

Let’s not take a chance on the outcome of the day. Let’s focus on God and spend some quiet time with Him.

When we take refuge in God and spend quiet time with Him, we will feel His protection and be filled with joy.

Psalm 5:11 “But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.” (NLT)

Focus: Get your day started right by spending quiet time alone with Him.
