Precious Promises – Day 27 by SGLY Ministry
Today’s Promise: TRUST “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6 (NKJV) Today’s Thought: The dictionary definition of Trust is: a firm belief in the reliability of another, to have confidence in or to hope in someone So to receive this Promise of direction for our paths, we need to: Put our full confidence in God only, Not rely on our own intelligence or feelings, Recognize, accept and express thanks for God’s authority In all our ways…thoughts, speech, actions. Today let’s begin to trust God with all our heart, in all our ways so as to receive His Promise of right direction for our lives. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:5 (NKJV) Today’s Prayer: Dear God, I so want to trust You in everything but sometimes it is hard to completely let go. Sometimes I trust You in my mind, but my heart is doubting. Sometimes my heart is fully committed but my mind is reasoning. And as You know, sometimes my independent will gets in the way of acknowledging Your authority over all of my life. But today, Father God, I want to begin really trusting You. I want to receive Your promise of right direction for my life. Therefore, I am surrendering my will to You and I am putting my full confidence in You to lead me on right paths as I acknowledge You in all I do. Thank You God. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen ********** Exodus 4:12 ‘Now go ahead and do as I tell you, for I will help you…’ - If we know that God is helping us, we can go on. - God gave Moses an impossible task to do. - But with His help, an impossible task became an inevitable success. - With God’s help, you can accomplish more than you could have imagined. PRAYER: Lord, please help me to do what You tell me to do. May I walk in obedience and enjoy the wonderful privilege of knowing that You are helping me to do what I could never achieve in my own strength. Amen. Kind Regards Pastor Andrew Roebert ********** Mistakes Are Made Thought for the Day "We all make mistakes. Some of them are harder to overcome than others and may leave us with a significant debt to pay for our actions. Don't let your mistakes define you in a negative way. Take responsibility for your actions, try to make things right, and learn from them so they may not be repeated." _________________________________ Today's Word "Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good." (Psalm 25:7 NIV) _________________________________ Today's Prayer Father, let me learn from my mistakes and let me try to set them right. I have to live with my mistakes but I don't have to let them define me negatively forever. Amen The Whisper Of God ********** Today’s Scripture: "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." (Psalm 139:14, KJV) Fully Loaded and Totally Equipped Did you know that when you compare yourself to others or wish you were like someone else, it’s like saying He just didn’t do a good job? It’s actually saying, “God, why did You make me subpar? Why did You make me less than?” Realize today, God didn’t make anyone inferior. He didn’t make any person second class. No, you are a masterpiece! You are fully loaded and totally equipped for the race that’s been designed for you! Today, let your attitude be, “I may not look like someone else or have the job that someone else has. That’s okay. Nobody will ever be a better me. I’m anointed to be me. I’m equipped to be me!” Remember, it’s easy to do what you are equipped to do. Don’t fall into the trap of trying to be like someone else. Accept who God made you to be and embrace the good things He has prepared for you! A Prayer for Today: "Father, thank You for making me. Thank You for equipping me to fulfill my destiny. Today, I choose to focus on what You’ve placed in my hand knowing that as I am faithful to You, You will direct my steps. I bless You and praise You for who You are in Jesus’ name. Amen." Joel Osteen ********** Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. — Psalm 51:12 (AMP) Laugh on Purpose by Joyce Meyer One of the most valuable things I have learned in my life is that I don’t have to wait to feel like doing something before I can do it…and neither do you. You can actually create opportunities for laughter. • Plan to laugh...and then do it. Take a few minutes away from the busyness of the day and focus on something funny that a friend said or something enjoyable you’re looking forward to. • Hang around funny and encouraging people. Spend time with people who are lighthearted and encouraging. Their humor and their positive nature are infectious. • Change your perspective. You can be joyful if you begin each day with a think session. Think about some happy, joyful things on purpose. Learn to enjoy yourself rather than being so intense about your imperfections. I can promise it will add laughter to your life. David prayed, “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.” We can pray the same thing. If you feel life has sapped you of your joy and taken away your laughter, ask God for His help and take every opportunity you can to laugh. Prayer Starter: Lord, restore to me the joy of Your salvation. Please help me to seek out and take every opportunity to laugh, amen. ********** A Bible Devotion Count Your Blessings EPHESIANS 1:3 NLT 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. An old song says: "Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done." It's easy to lose perspective. We all face challenges and difficulties in life. And if we are not on guard, they can divert our attention from all the Lord has done for us. Yes, you may face obstacles, but you need to remember the man who complained that he had no shoes till he saw a man who had no feet. We may not have everything we would like, but we all have something to be thankful for. Your children may be a challenge, but at least you have children. Your spouse may tempt you to pull your hair out, but there are millions who would gladly trade places with you. Your boss may be ruthless, but there are many in the world who would literally give anything to have any job so they could feed their family. Your attitude is determined by your focus. When you focus on the negative -- you turn negative, making your life, and those around you, miserable. It is amazing how different you feel after taking just a few minutes to truly thank God for what you have. I can read! I can see! I can smell! I can hear! I can talk! I can think! God loves me! Jesus died for me! I have a home in Heaven! SAY THIS: Thank you Lord for every blessing you have provided for me. ********** TODAY’S BILLY GRAHAM DEVOTIONAL SCRIPTURE: I am like a sheltered olive tree protected by the Lord himself. I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. —Psalm 52:8 (TLB) Turn to your Bible and read the wonderful stories of men who were alone in godless surroundings but who, by the help and presence of the living God, made a marvelous contribution to their own times. Joseph was surrounded by sin and intrigue in Egypt. His master’s wife tried to seduce him. He was tested by imprisonment, but through it all he trusted in God and sought to know and do His will; and he stands today as a wonderful example of the keeping and strengthening power of God in the heart of a man who believed in Him. Prayer for the day In the dark days, I will put out my hand and You, loving Lord, will be there.
