Precious Promises – Day 16 by SGLY Ministry
Today’s Promise: KINGDOM “…giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves…” Colossians 1:12-13 (NIV) Today’s Thought: Believers, let’s give thanks today that God has qualified us to share in His Kingdom. Let’s rejoice that we no longer have to live in darkness but that we can enjoy living in the Kingdom of Light now and forever! Let’s believe that God will some day bring us into His heavenly Kingdom just as He has promised. “The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory for ever and ever.” 2 Timothy 4:18 (NIV) Today’s Prayer: Dear God, I do give thanks today that You have qualified me, through my belief and trust in Jesus, to share in Your heavenly Kingdom. I give thanks that You have sealed me with the Holy Spirit of promise as a guarantee of my inheritance into Your Kingdom. I rejoice that I no longer have to live in darkness but can enjoy living in the Your Kingdom of Light! I believe, God, that some day You will bring me into Your heavenly Kingdom just as You have promised! In Jesus name I give thanks and pray this. Amen. ********** Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes. (NLT) Isaiah 58:12 Living in a broken world means bad things happen to us. We have the choice of allowing those bad things to take shape in our heart and become deserted ruins. Or we can choose to pick up the pieces, confront, forgive, extend grace, and heal. Through a relationship with Christ, you have the power to rebuild families, overcome hurts, and restore relationships. Will you choose to be a rebuilder or be owned by bitterness? Daily Bible Devotion ********** Freedom Through Forgiveness Thought for the Day "Do you carry the burden of a hurt caused by someone? Now is the time to try to start to heal yourself. Try to understand that forgiveness is an important part of healing. It may take a lot of time and it does not mean reconciling with the person who hurt you - it means setting yourself free by turning the matter over to God and trusting that He will deal with the offender in the way, place, and time that He sees fit." _________________________________ Today's Word "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times." (Matthew 18:21-22 NIV) _________________________________ Today's Prayer Father, teach me to forgive and hand things over to You rather than to hold onto anger and resentment myself. Anger and resentment only bind me to the hurt and don't allow me to move forward in a healthy and whole way. Amen. The Whisper Of God ********** Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. – Phil 4:6 Do you ever struggle to pray? Maybe you feel really awkward talking out loud to God. Perhaps you try to pray, but just don’t know what to say. There can be lots of reasons why prayer might feel unnatural to you. However, today’s Bible verse says that we are to pray about everything. We aren’t to worry, stress out or fear the things we face in life, we are to pray about them instead. If we’re to pray about everything, how do we make prayer seem easier? One of the best ways to make prayer easier is to remember that when you pray, it’s just like you’re speaking to a friend. You can be real with God, talk to Him and tell Him how you feel about things going on around you. You can be honest and say I’m hurting or I need help. The great thing about God is that He wants to hear from you. God wants to hear from you, so take some time today to spend in prayer – @studentdevos Today, take some time out of your busy day and spend it in prayer. Let God know your fears, worries, and let Him speak to you. You’ll never regret spending time in prayer with God. ********** Seek the Lord's will in all you do Proverbs 3:6 'In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.' - Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. - Remember the LORD in everything you do, and He will show you the right way. - Always let Him lead you, and He will clear the road for you to follow. - Give Him first place and He will take you where you need to go. PRAYER: Lord, I choose Your will and Your way for my life. I don't want to do my own thing, but I want to follow Your leading and guiding. Show me the right paths so that I can walk in Your ways. Amen. Kind Regards Pastor Andrew & Vanessa Roebert ********** He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty… — Psalm 91:1 (AMPC) Emotional Stability by Joyce Meyer Have you ever been happy and calm and then let someone else who is in a bad mood change you? Most people have, but we don’t have to be “most people.” Today, I am going to be with someone that I love, who is often given to temperament shifts. I know that it is important for me to be an example to this person and remain stable no matter what they do. You might also be in a relationship with someone or work with someone who is moody and unstable. The best way to be prepared to deal with them properly is to spend time with God, receiving His strength. When we dwell in the secret place (God’s presence), we grow in stability. Don’t let other people dictate your behavior. Why should you be in a bad mood just because someone else is? Stay happy and be an example of godly behavior to all those around you. Prayer Starter: Father, help me remain emotionally stable at all times. Please help me not to let other people or my circumstances change me or bring me down, amen.
