Precious Promises – Day 19
Precious Promises – Day 19 by SGLY Ministry
Today’s Promise: NEEDS “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) Today’s Thought: If we are in Christ, God promises to meet our needs–“gloriously”! WHY does God promise this? Because He loves us and wants to bless us abundantly according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Jesus said: “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” Matthew 7:9-11 (NLT) God promises this because He is our Father and He loves us and wants to give us, His children, good gifts. We must remember though that only He knows the future, and only He knows if what we ask for and seek is indeed a good gift. We may think what we need is good but in reality it may not be for our good in the future. So, some times God will say “Yes”, but other times He may say “No” to our requests, or He may say “Wait awhile”, however, He will always answer in some way. We just need to remember that and accept His answer even if it is not for what we think we need at the time. Remember, He will always supply our “needs” but not always our “wants”. Ask and it will be given to you; Seek, and you will find; Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 (NKJV) ASK-Matthew 7:7 Today’s Prayer: A-S-K Dear God, today I am asking, seeking and knocking as Jesus said. I am believing I will receive all I need for this day because Jesus said “everyone who asks receives;” therefore, I am doing my part, in faith, by seeking Your help and expecting that You will supply. I will knock on doors of opportunities that You place in my path to see which one might be opened to me according to Your way and will. Thank You, Father. I believe when I ask that You hear me and I will start looking daily, expecting to see ways You will provide for me. And as I begin knocking on those doors of opportunity that I see, and the right one, the one that You have chosen for me, will open to supply all my needs gloriously! Thank You, Father God. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
