Morning Gratitude and Throughout the Day

Found this just before my anniversary last year on a site I use to post on. Because of health issues, I stopped posting there. All my sites were gone, but thankfully Recovery Inn is still there.

One night I am sitting here listening to old classic country music. Do like the old songs and yet I can see why they called them drinking songs and people crying in their beer. I find I can only listen to them for a while, unless I can find something positive about them. I have been sitting here applying some of the words and looking at what I need for my own healing.

I am so grateful for the awareness in today that I can take something that appears negative and find the positive in it. The words right now are "Is it wrong to be loving you?" Many times, I quesitoned myself in the past. I did not trust myself. Most of my life I was told that I was stupid and that my opinion didn't matter. I took everythng personal. I am so grateful that I don't have to take that stuff on. It is not mine!

So grateful that recovery has opened up new doors to a better way of life.
