Just for today, I will trust the process. As long as I am connected to my Higher Power, things will turn out as they should be, not always as I would have them be.
After talking to my friend for about 90 minutes, I read her the Serenity Prayer for quitting smoking from NicA, Nicotine Anonymous. She found a lot of comfort in it. She just got out of the hospital and was in ICU a couple of times this month. When we finished talking, I read her today's reading from Courage to Change and the reading from In God's Care by Karen Casey. They both referenced what we had been talking about.
